Intuitive Art ~ Channel your Higher Self and Spirit Guides!

Hello dear friends, in this post I share with you my easy way of creating art for myself and the world!

First, I invite you to forget everything you “think” art is, how it “should” look like, or Be.

What if art is simply an extension of Being You?

What if you are already an artist, a co-creator, a reality shaper?

Wow!

Yes, yes you are!

Remember the breakfast you made today, the cup of tea, the conversation you had with a friend…wasn’t it an act of creativity?

To me, intuitive art is born from simply Being Yourself and unfolding your essence in the world around you.

It is following your inner impulses to create and transform, pursuing pleasure and not “perfection”.

Intuitive art is a form of expression where you let your intuition / Higher Self guide your creations, bypassing excessive reasoning, linear logic, self-doubt and second guessing.

Intuitive Art is effective because it comes from a place of deeper love and wisdom

Its messages are never fearful or oppressive, but genuinely enlightening and encouraging.

Intuitive art is my playground and healing sanctuary, and it can be yours too!

So how is the process like?

I have two methods of creating intuitive art, they are basically the same but applied differently:

1. Intuitive Art for Art’s sake: free flowing creativity, letting my hand draw and paint following inner impulses or prompts. I like to use mediums as colored pencils and acrylics. To people’s eyes, it could look “abstract”, but I prefer not to label what I do more than calling it Intuitive or Spontaneous. Lately, I’ve also been taking my art to Virtual Reality, with my Oculus Quest 2! ~ some pics and video below.  I am inspired by nature, stars, galaxies, faeries and Barbie movies!

2. Art for Spiritual Connection ~ I use it as a language to communicate with Spirit. I tune into my Higher Self /Spirit Guides with a question in mind, or I simply request to receive any insight or wisdom to help me.

Remember: you don’t need to “know” how to paint/draw , or have psychic / intuitive experience in order to enjoy art and channeling your Higher Self!!

Grab a few sheets and colored pencils /crayons, and let’s start!

(in the beginning of this post, there is a short YouTube video of the whole process)

Step 1: Ask your Highest Self /Universe / God / (your favorite source of guidance and inspiration) to BE with you, now.

You can recite this in your mind:

I am already my Highest Self

I am opening to channel pure love and wisdom through intuitive art

Now, I will find the answers and clarity I need

Your intention is more than enough. You don’t need complex or embellished rituals to connect with your Essence!

Let me tell you that, you are already connected and living across all dimensions and planes of existence, and you can draw inspiration from them.

Step 2: Make your Color Meaning Chart – List the colors you have available (I suggest between 7 and 14 tops) and write down your personal meanings for each color. Don’t overthink it! Write the first words or feelings that come to mind (you can refine or expand them later)

You’ll notice that perhaps colors may evoke both a “positive” and “negative” reaction from us. For example:

red, in its positive pole (+): love, passion, action energy, focus, sexuality

red, in its negative pole (-): danger, smothering, overwhelm

Turn your sheet to the back, and make a few shapes: rectangle, circle, triangle, horizontal lines, zig-zag, spiral. Again, what do you feel when you see these common shapes?

(This Chart is meant to be done one time, not every time you make a drawing…though in the future you might review it and update it)

Step 3: Let’s Draw!

Write down your question, make sure it is clear and concise, or if you don’t have a particular question, simply state that you are open to any guidance that comes your way and supports your highest good.

Examples of Questions:

What in my life needs more attention and care?

What is my next most fulfilling step?

Keep your colors at hand. Close your eyes, take a deep breath.

Intuitively grab a color and start scribbling/ painting! Let your hand choose the colors, forms, and intensity. Do not think about it. Be fully present. Trust yourself, and just art away!!  Flow with it, until you feel it’s “done”. You will feel a gentle “stop” within you.

Congratulations! You just did an amazing work! Take a moment to contemplate it. It doesn’t have to “make sense” or even “be pretty” by others’ standards . It is beautiful the way it is!!

As you see, the intuitive art process is super quick and spontaneous. This allows you to transcend disbelief and self-doubt. My drawings using this 2nd method take me less than 30 seconds to do.

Step 4 Decode your Drawing

Next to your scribbles, write down the keyword(s) you chose for the respective color / form. Do you see recognizable shapes,  lighter or bolder lines, a different shading here or there?

Little by little, interweave your personal meanings together.

For example, my question was

What will help us navigate 2021 with more ease and joy?

Muddy green: Reconnecting with Nature- doing our part to build a more sustainable world (muddy colors represent blockages or areas in tension)

Red: passionate focus to causes that matter to us, action

Grey: pausing, reevaluating, redistributing our energy, establishing healthy loving boundaries.

Mint green (it’s my “true unapologetic self” color) – aligning with our inner truth, speaking ourselves, sharing our presence with others

Yellow: embracing/allowing the little joys and happiness of our daily lives

The more you practice, you will be able to read your drawings with more clarity and confidence.

Your meanings can also evolve in the future, so feel free to modify your Meaning Chart if you need to.

The tangibility and immediacy  of  intuitive art helps you relax into the present moment, your place of Power, Trust and Choice.

Intuitive Art is a great companion to other intuitive and psychic techniques, as tarot, channeling and astrology.

Remember that you are the shaper and co-creator of your Reality! All these are tools that help you find your own answers.

Practice what feels good, and have fun!
