The Art of Channeling

I am so passionate about sharing my love for Channeling and how joyful and fulfilling it can be!!

This beautiful practice came to me as an extension of my creativity and curiosity about myself, how the universe works, and of course, how to help humanity heal and thrive!!

A definition of Channeling 

Channeling is the creative access to consciousness, perceptions, and energies that are beyond us and what we consider our “ordinary” world. Channeling can help accessing insights from non-physical sources (for example, spirit guides and friendly entities) that can contribute to our healing and personal growth. As channels, we momentarily tune out from our own consciousness to receive and broadcast insights from said sources.

Think of it as not just “talking to dead people” or “contacting spirits”. Channeling is very much like getting in “the zone” when writing, dancing, performing music or doing an activity where you are so focused in the moment that you almost feel expanding outside your own body

Some Channels specialize in Energy Channeling to restore health and vitality ~ for example reiki healers or massage therapists or your friend who is the best hugger!

Others are Empathic Channels, who often simply hold space for others to feel safe and process their emotions ~ for example therapists or your friend who is a great listener!

Informational Channels deliver messages from Spirit, Entities and Teachers from other realms ~ for example literal Channels like Daryl Anka, or many published authors or comedians who ~ consciously or subconsciously ~ share Spirit wisdom with the masses!

And, surprise!!

We Channel all the Time!

We channel our own conscious thoughts when we talk, we channel our creativity when we paint or make up tunes while doing the dishes, or when we freely dance to our hearts content!! As you can see, it’s not reserved to only a group of “special gifted people”. It is something we can all potentially do, if we choose to do so. The talent, aptitude or curiosity jumpstarts the journey, but it’s the actual work and discipline that makes it soar!

How is Channeling different from Psychic Readings or Tarot?

A Channel doesn’t need to be Psychic to channel!
Channeling involves an equal partnership between Spirit and the Channel. The Channel works to set aside their own personal biases, fears, beliefs and expectations, so Spirit / or “That They Wish To Channel” can come through as clearly and accurately as possible. Colloquially said, “we get out of the way!”.

On the other hand, the Psychic expands their own extrasensory perceptions to pick up energy and information from the readee. For example, clairvoyants “see beyond” our regular perceptions. Clairsentients “feel beyond”, etc.

They might use their own methods of interpreting the information, as assigning meaning to colors observed in the aura, symbols or images they see, tarot and oracle cards.

Keep in mind, some channels interweave Psychic Readings with their Channeling, and viceversa. Depending on how it’s executed, this can be very beautiful and helpful, or add unnecessary layers of bias and confusion. For the client’s wellbeing and integrity of the material, it’s important that there is a distinction between what’s coming from the professional, from what’s coming from Spirit.

Remember: Channeling is not better than Psychic readings, Psychic readings are not better than Channeling. They are different!

How Accurate are Channels?

It depends on their how much they allow a clear flow of energy, their mood and health, and their amount and quality of practice. No Channel or Psychic is 100% accurate, and there will always be some degrees of personal participation or “coloring”, which is natural!! It’s like asking 10 pop stars to sing the national anthem. It’s the same song/message, in a different style! One will rock the high notes, other will flawlessly throw in some ad-libs!

But if the reader or channel hasn’t done the inner work of knowing themselves and clearing their mind, the information they deliver might be highly colored and embellished, which can confuse their client or incite fear. Picture a reader that goes through a painful divorce, and receives the question “should I reciprocate the love of this man?”. If they are in a sensitive state of mind without acknowledging it, they might project their own grief or disappointment onto their client’s situation.

Just as any art, Channeling is intrinsic to the artist!! We are humans, and experience ups and downs, illness, loss, some days when we just want to sleep all day and do nothing! Channels with integrity and care for their craft will always share openly about their challenges and limitations.

Questions to Ask Yourself to Validate Channeled Material (and pretty much everything!)

Does this resonate with me? Is it helpful? Is it kind? Is it truthful? Does it help me or someone else to heal and grow? Does it expand my understanding of Life?

Remember: Messages from Spirit are never urgent, sensational or fear-based!!

Spirit will never “predict” with total certainty, nor claim omniscience.
Spirit will never shame or condemn you or tell you what to do.
Spirit never gets tired or impatient of receiving the same questions!

The channeled information doesn’t get “clouded” or “less accurate” if you ask similar questions again and again, or if you ask a different channel the same question. It simply expands and deepens the understanding!!

Guides work with the vocabulary, knowledge and language(s) the Channel already has. Our Guides are just like you and me, they also learn by teaching through and with us!

My favorite channels and mentors are Troy Tolley (Michel), Lee Harris (The Zs), Jane Roberts (Seth), Sanaya Roman and Duane Packer (Orin and DaBen), Daryl Anka (Bashar). Their presence warms my heart me and motivates me to keep doing what I love!!
Their work has greatly enriched my own life and mission. I love them and am deeply grateful for their existence.

This is already a long post, so I’ll leave my personal story for another time!!
I will add, though, that connecting to Spirit enhances my earthly life in so many ways. It makes me feel safe in my existence and trust the mysteries of Life. It open my eyes to the infinite wonders of the universe. To the infinite beauty that each one of us carries within. It gives me plenty of inspiration for my daydreams, stories and characters!! And of course, it greatly supports my healing work and service to others! I just love spreading LOVE!!
