The Beauty of Meditation
>
“Meditation is not an action; it is a process of Remembering.
Meditation is reconnecting with your True Consciousness beyond the mind.
Meditation is Awareness.
Meditation is Being Present, Here and Now.
Meditation is your True Nature.
Meditation is Being You…and Being Everything.”
When you are deeply immersed listening to a song you love…and your whole being becomes the song…
when you are delightfully painting or writing and feels like time expands, or stops, or dissapears completely…
when you see the fortress of Machu Picchu for the first time…your heart skips a beat and you feel total awe, vastness and peace…
when you feel totally connected to your body and breath during a yoga class, feeling each sensation in you with utmost clarity, moving in unison with others around you…
When you are bonding with a wonderful soul and it feels like you are the only two people on Earth, and suddenly it’s 3 am in the morning, holy Universe!
That’s meditation, my friend.
See?
Full Presence, full Connection. Unity. An organic merging of the Observer and the Observed.
It’s pure Love.
You can also sit comfortably and close your eyes for 5 minutes or many hours…and just be there with yourself. And breathe. Observe your thoughts, and find the space between each of them…until your mind quiets down. And you stay there, in that silence, in that beautiful Now…in that beautiful Infinity.
You can find the benefits of meditation all over the internet…Some of my personal favorites:
-
Releases stress and soothes your body.
-
Brings you peace and calm, energy and focus.
-
Helps you manifest your true being.
-
Deepens your connection to yourself and the world, your compassion, your love capacity.
-
Helps you live fully, savoring each moment as it is, and letting it go.
-
Promotes your health and wellbeing.
-
The transformation it prompts in you, you creates ripples in those around you.
I’m so passionate about this, I can’t find the words to explain! It is to be experienced fully and deeply. One of my teachers says: “Don’t meditate…Be Meditation. Live in Meditation”
I’m here if you would like to start or deepen your meditation practice.
It may be the biggest gift you can do for yourself 😉
With love,
Rose
. . . .
Fun fact: Have you felt how much your mind quiets down after a good workout, or even a walk outdoors?
Yoga postures (asana) were originally designed to prepare our body for sitting in meditation.
I usually suggest people who are initiating their “sitting” meditation practice, after having some kind of physical exercise. For example, take a walk, shake all your body, dance to a few songs, clean the house.
And then sit, close your eyes, and feel how your mind-body naturally embraces the stillness.
Try it and tell me how it goes!
Namasté!
