Healing Codependency + EFT Video Series!

This was a highly requested topic from my readers and friends!! So I have made a EFT tapping healing series about it (videos below!). First, let’s take a look at what it is and how to heal it!!

Codependency is a pattern of behaviors that occur in relationships where one person is overly reliant on the other for their sense of identity, self-worth, and emotional well-being. It is a way of relating that is characterized by an over-investment in the needs and feelings of the other person, to the detriment of one’s own needs and well-being. This can lead to a number of negative consequences, including low self-esteem, difficulty setting boundaries, difficulty expressing one’s own needs and feelings, and a lack of autonomy.

Examples of codependent behaviors:

  • Putting the needs of others before one’s own, even when it is not healthy or appropriate to do so
  • Feeling responsible for the feelings and actions of others ~ “walking on eggshells” to not disturb them
  • Struggling to set boundaries or say “no” to the requests or demands of others
  • Difficulty trusting one’s own feelings and judgment, and seeking validation from others
  • Fearing abandonment or rejection if one does not go along with the wishes of others

If you think you might be codependent, there are many resources available to help you heal and learn healthier ways of relating to others. Some things you can do to begin the healing process include:

  • Seek out therapy or counseling to help you understand and work through your codependent patterns
  • Learn to set boundaries and communicate your needs and feelings assertively
  • Practice self-care and prioritize your own well-being
  • Explore your own values and interests, and take steps to develop a sense of identity that is independent of your relationships with others
  • Learn to trust yourself and your own judgment, and work on building your self-esteem and self-worth

It is important to remember that healing from codependency is a process and it may take time, but with patience and self-compassion, you can re-learn to have healthier and more fulfilling relationships with others!!
